About usAbout us
Phillip J Vasyli Founded in 1979 by Podiatrist Phillip Vasyli, VASYLI International started as a manufacturer of custom-made orthotics. In 1985, the company began the mass-production of pre-molded orthotics for in-clinic use by Podiatrists, Chiropodists and Orthotists. In the years to follow rapid international growth was achieved through comprehensive direct marketing and by educating the medical profession about biomechanics & orthotic treatment via seminars, workshops, literature and personal training. During its 22 years of operations VASYLI International has established a distribution network in medical clinics as well as pharmacy markets in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, USA, Canada, Europe, SE Asia and the Middle East.

1) After determining the correct density, model and size, check the patient’s footwear and remove any innersoles that may interfere with fitting.

2) Place the orthotic upside down on a table and heat the bottom surface for 20 seconds running the heatgun back & forth following the ‘Thermal Indicator’ embossed in the product. The nozzle should be held 30 cm away from the product.

3) With the patient sitting, place the heated orthotic into their shoe.

4) Place the foot into the shoe. Place & hold the Subtalar Joint in the neutral position and ask the patient to stand.

5) Palpate the shoe, placing pressure on the arch areaand around the heel.

6) Ask the patient to sit, controlling the neutral position until fully seated. Remove the orthotic from the patient’s shoe and allow to cool for 5 minutes.

7) Repeat the process for the other foot.

8) Check for correct prescription and add VASYLI Orthotic additions or wedges, if necessary.
